This year’s story, “Nara – Oku Yamato,” was inspired by the subtle colors we felt in the lush southern Nara region.

By repeatedly pre-washing the wool, we have developed a line of wool socks that are almost completely shrink-proof. Shrink-proof wool was selected to produce these Jacquard socks. This plush material has volume similar to pile — enveloping the feet in softness and warmth.
Made out of ultra-soft premium wool, these ribbed socks are thick and sturdy yet lightweight. Polwarth is a breed of sheep that is one-quarter Lincoln and three-quarters Merino. They are the pedigree of sheep with lustrous, soft, fine wool. We have selected this blend for its ultimate fluffiness and softness. These socks are thick and irresistibly cozy — embracing your feet with warmth and comfort without the weight.
Soft and fluffy in texture, these arm warmers are light-weight yet incredibly warm. We selected wool made from exceptionally fine fibers measuring an average of 16μ which is equivalent to that of cashmere. This soft and luxurious wool is produced from sheep bred in the surrounding areas of New Zealand’s Mount Cook situated on the length of the Southern Island. These finger-free arm and hand warmers have natural elasticity and softness similar to cashmere; they are sleek yet incredibly soft and fluffy, enveloping the arms, hands and even most of the fingers, leaving only the tips for easy use of your hands.
Thick wool socks made with an eco-friendly blend of recycled wool from clothing and virgin cotton made with leftover strands of cotton. They boast the generous thickness of wool socks but are more durable; perfect with boots for outdoor activities like camping and trekking.
NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA delivers socks for snowy countries. We use a soft kid mohair and wool-spinning yarn that is less than one year old. The features of mohair are soft and highly warm, and by blending with wool, it is finished in thin but warm socks. Pile the part of the foot, ankle has become a leg warmer that was double woven. Soft and fluffy kid mohair is blended to create these lightweight yet warm socks. Super soft kid mohair wool is lustrous fiber spun from young goats not more than a year old. Mohair is an extremely soft fiber that is light and incredibly warm. We have carefully blended this fiber with wool to create these lightweight socks that ensure comfort and warmth.
