NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA Spring/Summer 2026 Seasonal Colors
United Kingdom  -  Brighton

This year’s seasonal color story for NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA is inspired by “Brighton,” a seaside town in southern England.

We translated the colors we encountered there into this season’s palette.

THE SEAGULLS BLUE

In 2021, a Japanese soccer player joined team Brighton.

His dribbling, combined with the Italian coach’s tactics,

was a work of art.

COLORFUL FLAGS

Brighton’s famous event, Brighton and Hove Pride,

is one of England’s most popular LGBTQ+ events.

Colorful flags are seen throughout the city—perhaps

they are remnants of the festivities.

GRAND CENTRAL

A building with a beautiful beige contrast that

caught my eye during a walk through the city.

It looks like it houses cafés and bars.

CAST IRON RAILINGS

This was the answer when I asked a local what Brighton is known for.

I don't disagree, but I wonder if all locals feel the same.

ANTIQUE RED

Brighton is full of antique and vintage clothing shops.

I wandered into one and spotted a tuque as red as a London phone booth.

TURQUOISE BUS

This turquoise-colored bus took me around the city.

I’d say it’s the color of Brighton—even the taxis are turquoise.

Is it just a coincidence?

BUILDING PISTACHIO

My clients Nick and Alex’s store in Brighton.

BRIGHTON BEACH

The clear blue ocean and sky are strikingly beautiful,

and the soft beige beach is made of round pebbles.

What a view.
